Cozy Cabin in Big Bear
picture from Airbnb
If you’re looking for a cozy cabin for a weekend getaway this airbnb is fantastic! This is called the Closer to the Stars’ cabin nestled up in the mountains of Big Bear, CA. We wanted to escape the Arizona heat and get a little touch of nature. It was so nice to unplug, relax, and enjoy the weather! This is pet friendly so you can bring your pups as well. This is steps away from the National forest where there are tons of hiking trails to take them for a walk!
Location & Price Point:
Located in Big Bear, California. This cabin is eight miles away from the village, popular shops, and restaurants. This is also ten minutes away from Big Bear Mountain for skiers and snowboarders. This is an all year round destination for winter and summer lovers. The price ranges depending on time of year you are going. We went for $169/night but I saw as low as $139/night. In the winter months it does appear to be on the pricier side. This airbnb also requires a two night minimum stay.
Luxury:
This cabin is everything you want for a cozy retreat. This cabin makes you want to snuggle up by the fire with a blanket after a day of being out on the water or snow. The kitchen is rustic and inviting. It comes with the cutest bar cart, which was one of my favorite features. The living room had a rattan hanging chair, stone fireplace, and. a retro record player. The bedroom had the same woodsy feel and and was super comfortable!
Unique Experience:
This airbnb had the cutest bar cart set up featuring an old wood oven stove. I found this cocktail on TikTok that i was dying to try. The bar set came with everything we needed to make these delicious spicy peach margaritas. My boyfriend and I had a cocktail contest seeing who could make a better drink!
Another thing I loved about this airbnb is that it had great nostalgic touches. They had a VHS and a bunch of VHS tapes! We ordered food, put on an old movie, and I felt like a kid again. We ordered pizza from Maggios (which was amazing) and drizzled the hot honey we used for the margs on the pizza! The second night we went to La Pergola Trattoria which had bomb Italian food!
