Inner Basin Trail

This hike is located in one of the least expected states. Located two hours north of Phoenix you will find this gem in Flagstaff, Arizona. During a limited time in September and October you will find the Aspen Trees vibrant with fall colors. There are several hikes and areas to see the fall colors but this is definitely a favorite. This is one of my favorite hikes because its just so beautiful. It honestly feels like you’re in a different world hiking through a fairy tale forest. The leaves were falling while we hiked and it’s honestly just magical. It does get quite busy but it didn’t take away any of the hype for me. It was still super peaceful and everyone was very respectful and nice!

Only downside was the parking. Since it does get busy there is limited parking. We got there pretty early and parking was already full. . We had to park at the bottom of the road to the trail head due to parking being full and it added about three miles to our hike. Last I checked the road was actually closed to the trailhead so you would have to add the three miles to your hike. The hike to the trailhead was steep, but totally doable and in my opinion and worth it.

Hike from bottom of the hill to trailhead (About 3 miles)

Once you get to the trailhead the hike is 3.5 miles out and back . It takes about 1 hr 48 mins to complete. Dogs are welcome but have to be on a leash. Here is the all trails link.
