Experience Zion in Snow & Sunshine
Mother Nature is a wild thing! We went to Zion National Park mid March. We got the chance to experience Zion in the snow and in the sunshine! When we first got there we heard we would be getting hit with a snow storm. My one friend and I decided to do Angels Landings the first day because that was our bucket list hike and we didn’t want to miss it! You definitely don’t want to chance doing Angels Landing if its snowy or slippery because it could be super dangerous! While that may be for some people I like to air on the safe side when it comes to snow and being on the side of a cliff haha! Angels Landing ended up being perfect and it was a beautiful sunny day.
Angels Landing
Most of my pictures from Angels Landing are at the bottom or once we got to the top because honestly my phone was in my bag during the sketchy parts. Definitely was not thinking of taking my phone out when I was on the edge holding on to the chain!
Just like they had forecasted we woke up with a winter wonderland the next day! It was like being in a whole different world! Seeing the red rocks and trees covered in snow was so beautiful! We ended up doing a hike and it was one of my favorites! Typically I don’t hike in the snow so it was such a fun experience.
Pa’rus Trail
We did Pa’rus Trail for our snow day hike! Here is the link on all trails. We picked a pretty easy hike due to the snow and it was perfect!
Incredibly enough, the next day the snow had completed melted! Our friends actually ended up doing Angels Landing the next day after the snow! The weather the last two days were beautiful and we ended up doing two more easy hikes. Moral of the story, anyone going during this time expect a chance to get some snow and make sure to pack for it! It was crazy that we went from totally snow covered to gone the next day, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
