The Pearl Hotel
We stayed at the Pearl Hotel in San Diego and it was gorgeous! It has a mid century style/vibe with modern amenities. Originally ran by husband and wife Charles and Dinorah in the 1960’s as a sportsman lodge. This hotel was revamped by the Casetta Group and turned into a masterpiece, now having a restaurant on site named after the couple.

Location, Size, and Price Point:
Located in the Heart of Point Loma, close to the beach and downtown San Diego. They offer a selection of 23 guest rooms. Each room ranging from Mini Pearl (which is the basic room) to the Pearl Suite (includes extra room, pull out couch, and private balcony). Prices range from $170-$300/night. Better prices are offered on the week nights as the weekend dates tend to be on the higher side.
Luxury Feel: Every room has a coastal, airy feel. The Casetta Group partners with brands to create that luxurious experience. They use Parachute Home for bedding and bath linen to give quality comfort to guests. They also partner with MoonCloth Designs for all of their bathroom amenities. They crafted a custom scent for all Casetta Hotels. The scent is a blend of sandalwood, jasmine, and citrus, and it smells delicious. Let’s just say I will be buying this for my home.
Unique Experience- Movie & Dinner by the Pool
My favorite experience has to be the “Dive-In Movie Night.” They feature a dine in movie every Wednesday night starting at 8:00 PM. Food is served until 10:00 PM and the bar is open until 11:00 PM. If you can’t make it on Wednesday, they feature a movie in the background every evening to give the perfect ambience as you take a dip in the pool.

The restaurant and bar on site offers fun cocktails and delicious food. The restaurant features local, fresh ingredients. You can pop in if you’re staying at the hotel or reserve on Open Table. Be sure to check their Instagram or website for upcoming events. When we stayed at the hotel they had an awesome trivia night and debut to shark week.
