The Editory Riverside
Would you stay at a hotel in a train station?
from Expedia
Location/Price Point:
This historic hotel is located right at the Santa Apolonia train station in Lisbon, Portugal. This is a great location if you’re looking to venture out to different parts of Portugal. This train station serves as one of the oldest train stations in the country. Near Avenida da Liberdad, Feira da Ladra Flea Market, and Time out Market. We booked this for $202/night but we did book this last minute. It is currently going for $130/night.
Luxury Feel:
Featuring several different styles of rooms ranging from basic single rooms to master suites. Each type of room providing a different flare. Some rooms featuring a balcony, while their Rosacea room has a beautiful stained glass window. We had stayed in the single room with a balcony view overlooking the Tagus River. Each room was soundproof so we were able to sleep soundly even with the train! Our room had two gorgeous full length mirrors on both sides of the bathroom and the bathroom amenities were Castelbel.
Unique Experience/Food:
Of course the most unique experience was being right on a train station. This hotel definitely gave me Harry Potter vibes and I loved it! The long corridors, high ceilings, and beautiful decor was amazing! The restaurant onsite is called Impulso. Featuring a beautiful bar and interior that contributed to the train theme. They served Portuguese style food and had delicious espresso martinis!
